Pneumaatiikkatiivisteet sekoitetaan joskus hydrauliikkatiivisteisiin niiden ulkonäön vuoksi. Tärkein eroavaisuus on, että pneumatiikkatiivisteitä käytetään paineilmalla. Käytettävä ilma suodatetaan poistamalla epäpuhtaudet, jotka voivat aiheuttaa korroosiota sylinterissä. Pneumatiikkatiivisteitä usein nopealiikkeisissä sovelluksissa, joissa on myös korkea lämpötila.

Oz Seals range of super polymers are a cut above the rest as they are thermoset and spin cast. The thermoset polyurethane produced by Oz Seals has a wide range of properties,including fluid and moisture resistance. Polyurethane seals offer outstanding performance in high pressure hydraulic systems with abrasive contamination, high shock loads, and related adverse conditions.

Oz Red super polymer is Hydrolysis resistant, UV resistant and has superior mineral oil compatibility as well as great resistance to ozone attack and weathering. This high performance material is triple lubricated. It is able to maximize its elasticity and is very effective in fast operating cycles. Their excellent temperature characteristics have proven itself in tough application situations.

OZ GRIN is universally applicable sealing material which can be characterized by its wide service temperature range. The material has very good values for tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength. Oz GRIN is a food grade polymer and it is FDA approved. It also has a very low compression set. Its excellent wear resistance, high elasticity, high dynamic resistance as well as low permeability are other advantages.

HPU is a MDI polyurethane. It has good values for tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength. It also has a very low compression set. HPU is Hydrolysis resistant, UV resistant and has good mineral oil compatibility as well as good resistance to ozone attack and weathering. Its excellent wear resistance, high elasticity, high dynamic resistance as well as low permeability are other advantages. It is FDA certified. This material is injection molded and also casted available.

Oz WIFF (Wiffion) is a hydrolysis resistant material for a temperature range from – 50° C to 120 C. Especially suitable for piston/ rod seals with soft elastomer energizers, slip rings or wipers/scrapers used for harsh contamination such as dirt.

Oz WIFF polymer is Hydrolysis resistant, UV resistant and has superior mineral oil compatibility as well as great resistance to ozone attack and weathering. OZ WIFF has outstanding toughness and abrasion resistance for high pressure applications. The material has good mineral oil com-patibility and has good resistance to weathering.

Oz Motuf is a high strength engineering plastic suitable for bearings, bushing and back-up ring applications. This flexible bearing material provides increased thermal stability, elongation and abrasion resistance. It also displays good, low temperature impact resistance, high dimensional stability, favorable frictional properties (triple lubricated) and low water absorption.

Oz MONYT has proved to be an excellent choice for bearing and bushing application. Its high compression modulus owing to the glass fiber reinforcement and excellent dimensional stability is very important in it’s functioning.

Oz MONYT polymer is Hydrolysis resistant, UV resistant and has superior mineral oil compatibility as well as great resistance to ozone attack and weathering. Oz MONYT has high load bearing capacity which makes it a good choice for piston rings and guide ring applications. Excellent wear resistance in high pressure applications.

Oz EPDM has good resistance to hot water, steam and vegetable oils. The material has outstanding resistance to weathering and is compatible to other numerous units. EPDM has very good mechanical properties and is recommended for using in steam.

Compatibility with fireproof hydraulic fluids, ketons and alkalis.

Aflas Extreme (TFE) shows extreme heat resistance and chemical compatibility. Aflas has an excellent acid base and it is steam resistant. It has superior resistance to aggressive oil, lubricants and coolants. Because of a higher media resistance, it is recommended in the following situations:

  • 100% Methanol
  • Steam up to 160 C (special types to 200 C)
  • Bases and amines

OZ SILICONE has a a great temperature range and has high resistance to low and high temperatures . It is metal detectable and concerning the chemical composition, silicone is often used in the food industry. One of the disadvantage of silicone is its low resistance against oil and greases. OZ SILICONE is also FDA approved.

Nitrile has excellent resistance to petroleum products and its ability to be compounded for service over a wide temperature range has made it a very popular material.

Nitrile has an average temperature range as well as chemical resistance to petroleum-based oils, but decreases low temperature flexibility. Nitrile provides good compression set and tear resistance, cold flow and abrasion resistance. The major limiting properties of Nitrile are its poor ozone and weather resistance and moderate heat resistance.

HNBR has improved abrasion resistance while still retains high elasticity. Its service temperature range is from -20°C to 150°C. It also works for a short time in hot air up to 180°C. It is resistant to non-polar and low-polar media (vegetable and animal fats) and in particular, min-eral oils (lubricating oils, hydraulic oils or fuels}, aliphatic hydrocarbons and HFA-, HFB-, HFC-liquids. It is also well-suited for the use in water, diluted inorganic acids and alkalis.

The material has very good low temperature properties, high resistance to ozone, aging and weathering, as well as polar solvents (alcohols, ketones, esters) and HFC liquids and Glycol based brake fluids. However, it is not resistant to petroleum products, fats and oils.

Oz Viton has a high chemical resistance and is suitable at high temperatures. But it loses the elasticity at moderate low temperatures. The service temperature range is from -20° C to 220°C.

Example of applications include: lip seals, seals for offshore applications, direct contact with fuel. rotary seals at high velocity and for applications around 200°C.

100% pure PTFE, white with hardness 55 D, is resistant to almost all chemicals apart from fluorine, molten alkali metals and halogens. It also has very good sliding properties.

Due to its low elasticity, PTFE virgin is not suitable with high mechanical loads. PTFE has a poor thermal conductivity, a high expansion coefficient and a low loading capacity as bearing material. It also has low resistance to abrasive wear.

Laakeripaine: 3N/mm

Lämpötila: -200ºC ↔ 260ºC

This material is available in a mixture of PTFE virgin, carbon fillers and additives. Its colour is black with a hardness of 60 shore D. Oz TMCF has good dry running properties and is used for seals in compressors or lip seals. Exceptional wear life over conventional carbon grades. Examples of applications: Seal rings, piston rings and compressor rings.

Laakeripaine: 3N/mm

Lämpötila: -200ºC ↔ 260ºC

 

  TFG 25% Glass contains of 25% clean milled fibres and 75% PTFE virgin and is available in white with a hardness of 60 shore D. This material offers a higher stiffness and better wear properties than PTFE virgin. It is not useable for soft metal counterparts and has a limited usage in hot water.
